Stump Poisoning
Stump poisoning is a service that we provide and sometimes recommend given the tree type and situation. Sometimes trash trees are growing into fences and the homeowner wants to keep the fence and simply kill the trees. Poisoning tree stumps makes sense in this kind of a situation.
We also often see pernicious and resilient trash trees that are hard to kill. While stump grinding can eliminate these trees, sometimes they are growing too close to a building or structure to completely grind out. In these situations, we recommend poisoning or a combination of grinding and poisoning. Whatever your stump needs, we’ll walk you through the pros and cons of each situation so you can make your decision.
Here is an example of an inaccessible stump that we poisoned. The homeowner did not want the tree to grow back so she opted for poisoning. Over the years, this stump will decay and can be easily removed with a sledge hammer and shovel.
Here is an example of a stump that we ground close to a fence. We were able to grind most of it but not all of it because of the proximity to the fence. In this case, the homeowner opted to have us grind what we could and poison the rest.
